CIX is the only truly resilient, commercial data centre in Cork. It is also one of Ireland’s greenest data centres with features such as free cooling and cold aisle containment. We have hosting plans from 1U colo to multi rack suites. CIX delivers dual power to every 47U rack. Resilient meshed IP transit is available as are managed firewall and VPN services.

Cloud Computing

CloudCIX offers both virtual private servers (VPS) and dedicated servers available on flexible contracts. While most of our infrastructure in managed on OpenStack, we support a range of hypervisors including VSphere, Hyper-V, and KVM. Server provisioning for most modern operating systems is available including Server 2008 R2, many flavours of Linux and FreeBSD.

IP Transit and Communications

The Cork Internet eXchange data centre is a carrier-neutral IP PoP offering peering and cost-effective backhaul for the Munster region to large and small businesses, ISPs and WISPs. CIX is connected to all of the regional fiber providers and has a 30m communications tower overlooking Cork City.

From our network operations centre (NOC) we offer 24×7 customer technical support. We monitor both customer and CIX infrastructure and we take a proactive stance on problem resolution.
