CIX Data Centre – First racks arrive

The first consignment of racks for the CIX data centre arrived the other day. They are 47u racks (600mmx1100mm) with locks front and back. I’m looking forward to watching these fill up after we open for business in July.

Congrats on the data center, but do you not think its a bad idea housing server equipment where there is building going on? It will be a real pain cleaning all the equipment thats if the dust and builders dont damage it.

It will be really nice to see those racks in the same state as those on the top-right picture

thanks a million for the comment. Don’t worry about the equipment – it is sealed and physically isolated from the builders so there is little chance of dust or damage. That is something we are acutely aware of.
